For collaborations between members that are a result of the 2+2=5 game - rules and info on my profile and also stickied here on our group board. Don't forget to post the member's name that joined with you in the collaboration.

(Sorry but since it would not allow plus or equal signs in the group name, I had to get a lil creative *s*)

I personally think that the moderator approach is best, along with a rotating set of players to each moderator (with the appropriate ratio of moderators to players). I think the largest issue is getting people to find other people to play with. If you take that out of the equation and then randomly assign 2 or 3 players to a moderator each week, you will get some more interesting "social" palettes.

1.) No, I normally include somewhere in my pallet what group it is for, however I normally do not include a link just the name. So I don't think it would be spamful at all.

2.) It''s hard to say as things could go in different ways.

I'm online just about every day. What I've been doing, when I'm in the mood to play, is sending challenges to 3-4 people at a time (sometimes with the same pair of colors, sometimes with different pairs). That way, if one or two of those people are offline for some reason (on vacation, or whatever) I still have a greater chance of getting a response from somebody right away, and then I just wait for the others to get back to me. So, finding a partner hasn't been an issue for me.

Other forums I participate in do have a "who's online now" feature that is more comprehensive than what we currently have as the list of "recently active lovers" and I've seen one that will even tell you who else is viewing the same thread you are. We could always submit it as a new feature request and see who else supports it.

I've actually never done anything in this group so far, even though I *love* 2 n 2, but I would like to get more involved and actually play!

1. i've never been bothered when people suggested i joined a group, so i don't think it would be spam-like to suggest it when the person is already playing!
2. i've noticed that a lot of the groups on here have mostly inactive members, and i've left several for that reason, so i think a smaller active group would be nice, but at the same time, you can't really keep people from joining...

all the suggestions i've read so far seem to make sense, and now that some of them have taken effect, I can get into the swing of things! :D

I think everything here sounds good...I also like an idea of weekly 'challenges' where one person just posts their hex palettes and the other players post theirs, and then we can cross play, if that makes any sense.

Uhm. Ok. I confess that I didn't read all of the posts. But, just want to add a little something. I actually feel very shy about approaching someone to do a 2+2=5 combo. I don't know why! But, I do love playing the game. Blush!

I don't know how to do it, but I think it would be a good feature to have.

(1) not spammy at all, I think it's actually the perfect opportunity
(2) I think having active members is the most important part of this game, whether that means 20 members or 200. I tend to look at who has updated their individual thread lately when deciding on invites, just because I know those people have played recently. A who's online thing would be great.

If someone knows how to organize group challenges, I'm all for it... I'm just having a hard time wrapping my brain around the logistics.

1. Not spam like at all. Thought, when I usually play, I play with users who have already joined the group.
2. Have active members are very useful, but if there are not a lot of members, then the palettes that are created will all be more similar instead of varying. It would be nice though (if it is possible) to see the activity of the members.

1) It's really not spamming if they are playing the game... just don't tell them they HAVE to or anything, which I sort of doubt is happening anyway.

2) I really don't have an opinion either way. I'm not an extremely active member but I do use this to find people who want to do 2+2=5. I do think it would be good if there would be some way of seeing who was online in the group etc etc

1) I think just putting a link to the group without explanation is a good way to advertise without being spammy.

2) I don't think we should start restricting the amount of people joining (don't think you can do that anyway, unless you privatize the group), however, I'd prefer if the members were active rather than "palette dumpers" . . . don't think that has happened yet . . . . (By the way, I just wanted to point out that I've been very INactive around here, so I'm probably a hypocrite). :)

I do have a suggestion, though, and it come from my an-- detail oriented, order-craving brain. I'm wondering if each member of the group should have their own thread, and each post can contain the two palettes used in their most recent 2+2=5capade. That way the group won't get overrun with threads, plus it might make for easier shopping when looking for a potential partner.

What thinkest thou?

i totally agree with this.

But i'm not that active too, but that is because i just moved and we still dont have internet in our house :(

I too have to admit that I haven't read all the posts, but one person said that it would be a good idea to be signed up with a partner by a moderator instead of having to "bother" others yourself, and I agree with that idea 100%. I only play the game when someone approaches me since I don't want to bother anyone. But I'm totally fine with whatever else you decide :)

I've been quiet recently, due to pressure of work. Yes, I do think it would be good to know who else is online at the time.

I hope this little bit of input is a help. Back to the deskload of priorities now! Nearly through....
